Today we launched the new Glenn D. Godfrey Law Firm's website, www.godfreylaw.net. This is a redesign of their previous site and an upgrade in its quality and design (even if we say so ourselves :). GDG wanted us to take what they had and make it better, make it reflect the quality and distinction of the firm giving visitors a cleaner more impressive site to peruse and interact with. We're moving on ... so should you. Global Marketing is dropping support for IE6.

On September 1, 2009 we will completely phase out support for Internet Explorer 6 in all our future web development projects. In order for our clients to experience the robust and enjoyable web experience from our websites we suggest that Internet Explorer 6 users upgrade to a newer, more efficient browser.

The Internet Explorer 6 browser was released back in 2001, and Internet Explorer 7, the replacement, was released over three years ago in 2006. Modern web browsers such as IE 8, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari provide significantly better online experiences. Since IE 6 usage has finally dipped below a small minority threshold of our customers, it's time to finally move beyond IE 6.

What are the implications of this transition?

As of September 1, 2009, future features and any improvements used on new websites may not work with IE 6. If you are using IE 8, Firefox 2 or 3, Chrome, or Safari, you don't have to do anything — everything will continue as is for you. However, if you are using IE 6, and you want to make sure everything works, you will need to upgrade your browser to either IE 8, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. All of these browsers are free and all of them will deliver a much better overall experience. The web will be a lot better for you.

Why are we making this change?

IE 6 is a last-generation browser. This means that IE 6 can't provide the same web experience that modern browsers can. Continued support of IE 6 means that we can't optimize our interfaces or provide an enhanced customer experience in our projects. Supporting IE 6 means slower progress, less progress, and, in some places, no progress. We want to make sure the experience is the best it can be for the vast majority of our customers, and continuing to support IE 6 holds us back.

Thanks again for your continued support. We look forward to dropping the rusty weight of IE 6 and improving the overall customer experience moving forward.

Important Note: We will continue to provide IE6 Customer Support for projects that have already been completed, and we are also offering a website upgrade package that will bring your website into the new era of web development.

The New Face of Global Marketing

It's here! Our New Global Marketing Website. We've updated our portfolio, created a totally new design, and also added a blog and news section. It's taken us a while, but we finally got around to doing it. After all, we feel that our website should reflect our company and as we feel ourselves growing then so should our website.

We will be adding more to the site and continue to develop it and increase its functionality, and hopefully it will not only be able to give you a good idea of the quality of work we can provide for you; but it will also be able to assist you with every day web related task and question to make your internet experience better and more satisfying.

With this new launch we are bringing in a new chapter in the Global Marketing story. We'll keep you posted....
